It seems frivolous to write a blog post when so much is going on in the world. This summer has been a nightmare for so many and certainly for our country. I could take it way back, but I’ll begin with Charleston. Hatred, loss of life, a country divided. Horrific. This a horrible example for the very young children who are sponges absorbing every word and deed. This is our future. As a much older person, it breaks my heart. Praying for our country—daily.
Hurricane Harvey’s devastation and loss of life seemed to unite us and bring the best out of many people. A total flip-flop. But that flip has the capability of flopping. We have another opportunity to get it right.
Earthquakes in Italy and, most recently, Mexico brought utter devastation and much loss of life. Katia brought mudslides, destruction, and death in her wake to Mexico. It’s almost too much to comprehend. So many wildfires…
Hurricane Irma has destroyed some of the most spectacular islands in the world and wreaked havoc on countries where the people have suffered greatly and have little, to begin with. And we have yet to see all the damage. As she moves through Florida, she is leaving chaos, destruction, not sure about the loss of life at this point (please God!), and a state under siege. Perhaps for weeks, months, or years. As she makes her way through Florida to the states above…I can only imagine.
The graphic says it all…Praying for the World. This is a time for us to come together as PEOPLE UNITED. Politics…not important (in my humble opinion) right now. Helping, Praying, and offering what we can is what counts. I pray we get it right; it could be our last chance.
I’ve never been shy about my faith (don’t be hating on me); it has carried me through the blackest days possible when I was barely hanging on by a thread.
You have our hearts and prayers—daily.

Hi Andrea!
Oh, I’ve missed you too! I know you will be happy when all is done. We are right behind you…last week the sprinkler system had to be replaced. We need to have everything shipshape before we sell (early 2018). This should be interesting. Please keep me updated. We’ve been in this house since 2005 and things were so different when I sold my old house.
It is just crazy…so much going on in the world. It is difficult to comprehend.
Sending you and your loved one lots of love, prayers too.
XOXO

Because each generation believes that the endtimes would be seen in their time, many non-believers think prayer has no effect. However, prayer to Jesus is the most powerfull and senseable help that this hurting world will ever knpw. GOD bless you and yours Barbara for the outlook of your words. Christian hugs every day.

Hi Mikala!
Prayer is very powerful…I’ve seen the difference it can make. So many events are occurring right now. We are witnessing events never seen (The unfolding of Irma on TV) before. We need to pray.
Thank you for reading and commenting. MANY have read this post but few have responded. I’m not surprised.
Take care!
