The elimination has begun

A few years ago, on my other blog
I wrote a post on AARP magazine (the link does not direct you to that post, as I was too lazy to find it). I loved the magazine (bulletin) then and still do. With that being said, I have a new love called
International Living. When hubby and I decided the goal was to “get out of dodge”, it made sense. I have to tell you it was an excellent decision. This publication and its online site are chock-full of information. LOVE IT!

We have been able to gather a wealth of information on areas that would have never been on our radar.

The problem (being a Gemini) is that I would like to explore it all, and I flip-flop (occasionally). We can’t visit it all, but we will explore the areas that “speak” to us. If someone had told us that Medellín would be on our radar, we would not have believed it. Eternal Spring sounds fantastic—their healthcare system rates higher than ours (the US). I had no idea!

Well, Europe was always on the radar. Once I moved back to the US, I always believed that I would eventually end up living there (probably as an old snowbird (desert snowbird) in this case).

I love parentheses.

I think my pillows pretty much tell you where my mind tends to be (part of the time anyway).

One place that ticked just about all the boxes for me is off the list unless their customs regulations change dramatically. I posted about my son’s two bags, and they will go wherever we move. Not much to ask. This country does not allow multiple cell phones, even if they don’t work. There are probably 10 in that bag, and I will not have them confiscated. Hubby can’t imagine me locked up over the contents of a bag or two. That would not be a pretty sight… At least one place is no longer on the list. And to think a few months ago, I didn’t even know it was on the list. So bye-bye Ecuador (unless their customs regulations change dramatically). I don’t think that change is going to happen, BUT you never know.

So, we continue talking, dreaming…not a bad thing.

Have a blessed week, friends, and thank you for visiting.

Always big hugs,

Barb

    Dearest Barb,
Yes, your pillows are speaking very loudly!
Husband Pieter has been to Medellín but I don't know if we would want to move there…
But for sure you will sort it all out.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

      Hi Mariette,
I would not have entered that thought a few years ago. It sounds like it has certainly changed for the better, I had no idea. Have a good week!

Thank you Theresa, I appreciate it. Right now I am debating whether I should start SS benefits early? Where have the years gone?!
      Love you dear friend
